The Cinterion EXS82 IoT wireless platform is the driving force of LTE evolution to 5G, allowing low-energy connectivity (LPWA) for billions of new industrial applications. The innovative Cinterion platform uses Qualcomm's MDM9205 chipset from the advanced LTE ecosystem, which provides LTE-M and NB-IoT global connectivity with optional return to 2G. Small IoT modules are ready for 3GPP Rel. 14 and 5G and have the same design as all Cinterion devices to ensure easy migration. Improved with Gemalto security features and added value, the platform is ideal for small battery powered devices in remote locations such as smart meters, asset trackers, healthcare applications, portable devices, and smart city solutions.
